They can be. Commercial plans may have different therm prices, fees, pipeline charges and contract terms. A residential offer is not a business quote, and commercial pricing is not automatically cheaper.
Published rates or a custom quote?
Small businesses may find advertised fixed or variable plans online. Larger users and businesses with more complex needs can be offered individually priced contracts. Confirm which options apply to your service address and usage.
SCANA and Gas South publish small-business plan information. GNG provides a business quote route, and Constellation lets businesses search available plans by ZIP code. The links below take you to the marketers’ own business resources.
Use current business terms: our homepage calculator uses residential offers and a home-usage estimate. It does not quote commercial accounts. The ranking below is a residential benchmark. Commercial quotes can have a different order.

Ranked by five-year residential cost at typical usage. Explore each marketer’s business plans and request pricing for your account.
SCANA Energy
Its small-business page lists commercial two-part fixed plans. The therm price has a separate interstate pipeline charge based on the AGL service area, plus a monthly service fee. Larger businesses can request a tailored quote.
Gas South
The Business section of its rates page lists small-business fixed and variable plans. Larger operations can request customized commercial pricing. Check service fees, pipeline charges and cancellation terms alongside the therm price.
Constellation
Search for available Georgia business plans using your ZIP code. Its business guide describes fixed, NYMEX-linked and custom options. With an indexed plan, part of the gas price moves with the market.
Georgia Natural Gas
GNG offers a custom-quote route and business resources for small and medium businesses, larger operations, industrial users and multifamily properties. Confirm the pricing available for your account directly.
Published prices can change or expire. Check the linked business page and written offer before signing. These are direct marketer links; Atlanta Phoenix Gas does not submit a quote request on your behalf.
How the rankings work
The order is based on each marketer’s lowest five-year residential cost scenario at 641 therms per year, the Georgia PSC’s typical-home benchmark. It includes gas supply and monthly service fees using the rates saved October 4, 2026.
Not all business rates are published. Some small-business plans are advertised online, while larger or more complex accounts may need a custom quote. Residential rankings provide a reference point; your business’s rates, fees, usage and contract can produce a different order.
See the residential calculation assumptions
Compare researched 6-, 12-, 18-, 24- and 36-month fixed options, including eligible saved introductory offers, and choose the lowest five-year total for each marketer. Usage stays at 641 therms per year. After the initial term, the saved published renewal rate and fee are held constant through month 60. Constellation’s regional offer renews at the standard plan price. Fee ranges use the highest listed fee.
AGL delivery, taxes, one-time charges, optional credits and discounts are excluded. Initial offers require eligibility. Future renewal rates are unknown, so this is a dated scenario rather than a guaranteed five-year bill.

Compare the full quote
Ask each marketer to price the same locations, usage history, start date and contract length. Use this checklist when reviewing the written offers:
- Gas supply: the price per therm, whether it is fixed or indexed, and exactly which charges are included.
- Recurring charges: customer service, interstate pipeline or capacity charges, and utility delivery charges. Ask which are fixed and which can change.
- Contract: start and end dates, renewal process, cancellation fees and the quote’s expiration date.
- Account conditions: deposits, credit requirements, minimum usage or volume commitments, and any charges if usage changes.
Therms used × quoted dollars per therm
+ all applicable fees, pipeline and delivery charges
+ taxes and one-time charges
− confirmed credits
For an indexed or more complex contract, ask the marketer for a cost illustration using your actual monthly usage and clearly stated market assumptions. A fixed therm price does not guarantee a fixed total bill.
Have these details ready
- Your service address and utility, plus any additional business locations.
- The last 12 months of therm usage and recent bills, if available.
- Your current contract end date and desired service start date.
- Your business type and any expected changes in equipment, hours or gas demand.
Share account documents directly with the marketer through its secure process. If you are moving to a new location, ask what usage information or estimates it needs to prepare a quote.
Business gas questions
Does switching marketers change who delivers the gas?
For an eligible business on the AGL network, AGL continues delivering gas and maintaining its distribution system. The marketer supplies your gas under the chosen plan. Confirm service eligibility for the specific property.
Are all business rates private?
No. Some small-business plans are publicly listed, while other pricing appears after a location search or a conversation with an account manager. Ask for a written quote covering your account.
Can I use the residential calculator for my business?
