Example: A 1,800 sq ft home with gas heating, a gas water heater and a gas stove / oven:

(1,800 × 0.233 × 1.10) + 180 + 25 = 666.34
≈ 666 therms per year

Fixed plans use an average month: annual therms ÷ 12 × rate + highest monthly service fee − selected rewards. Eligible credits for contracts of 12+ months are averaged over the first 12 months; receipt timing differs. Six-month credits are excluded. The five-year scenario uses 60 months of constant annual usage: the selected offer applies for its initial contract, followed by the current published price and highest monthly fee for the same plan and term through year five. Prices are held constant at the saved snapshot, not forecast. Constellation new-customer regional plans renew using the standard plan for the same term. Eligible one-time credits apply once in year one. GNG GREEN enrollment ended October 4, 2026; its reward, free-service promotion and subsequent optional add-on are excluded from new-customer comparisons. Customers who qualified before the deadline should follow their original offer terms. Each five-year difference is measured against the lowest five-year total in its fixed or variable selection. Variable introductions use their stated duration, followed by a constant published variable snapshot. These calculations exclude AGL delivery, taxes and one-time charges. Variable plans use the separate monthly therm input and have their own lowest-plan baseline; future rates are not forecast. The prominent amount is extra cost versus the lowest eligible plan for the same period; the lowest plan shows $0. Estimated totals remain below it. Calculations use the highest listed monthly service fee; original fee ranges appear in plan details. Bill credits assume full eligibility and receipt within year one when selected. GNG’s additional advertised $10/month credit is listed separately and excluded because complete stacking terms were not verified. Optional autopay, renewal, senior and military discounts are excluded. An averaged first-year credit does not repeat automatically in later contract years.
