SCANA’s 18-month Fixed Plus SAVE rate is 57.9¢/therm. Its $9.95 gross fee becomes $7.95 when the verified $2 monthly billing discounts apply. GNG’s 12-month FEATURED rate is 49.9¢, using a published $8.99 maximum fee assumption. SCANA has other standard and Plus terms; at low usage, the lower standard fee can outweigh a lower Plus therm rate. Discount conditions can change the result

GNG offers an additional 5¢/therm Greener Life reward for 12 bills when eligible and selected. Its free service year is offset by bill credits; retaining Greener Life afterward costs $4.99/month. The 5¢ reward is not automatically repeated at renewal. GNG’s $10/month bonus is an alternative to its therm discount, so both are never added together in this calculation.

SCANA’s discounted fee requires paperless billing with a supported recurring payment method and automatic renewal for fixed plans. Gas South’s $50 credit requires eligible SAVE50 enrollment and confirmed credit terms. Without the required options or eligibility, your actual cost will differ.

What these costs include

Average initial monthly cost = annual therms ÷ 12 × initial rate + highest monthly fee − eligible year-one credits ÷ 12. It is an annualized comparison, not your winter bill or a promised bill amount.

These examples include web offers and Gas South’s eligible $50 SAVE50 credit once in year one for terms of 12 months or longer. SCANA fees include $1/month for paperless billing with a supported recurring payment method and $1/month for automatic renewal on fixed plans. You must enroll in and retain those options. GNG Greener Life is not selected in these tables; its optional reward can be compared in the calculator. GNG’s $10/month credit is an alternative to the FEATURED therm discount and is not added to it.

Five-year cost uses the offer for its initial term, then today’s published same-plan, same-term rate and fee for the remaining months. Constellation’s new-customer regional offer uses the standard same-term plan after the initial term. Future renewal prices and discount availability are unknown. This is a scenario, not a forecast or guaranteed renewal quote.

AGL delivery charges, taxes, connection charges, late fees and early termination costs are excluded. Usage is held constant. The lowest initial offer is selected per marketer, even if another offer would have a lower five-year total.

What to check before choosing

• Your annual therm usage and the final quoted monthly fee.
• Whether the offer is available for your address and customer status.
• The promo code, expiration date and payment requirements.
• Early termination charges if you move or change marketers.
• The renewal notice and the new rate quoted when the contract ends.

There is no universal winner. The cheapest initial offer and the lowest five-year scenario may differ, and unverified personalized fees can change the order.
